SOFIE D'HOORE

The Belgian designer Sofie D’Hoore studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp under Walter Van Beirendonck. Her collections have a purist, understated aesthetic with an emphasis on strong lines, precise cuts and volume. The designer never loses sight of practicalities; she wants to make clothes that one can move in, that are sophisticated, and also suited to the demands of modern life. Sofie D’Hoore is best known for mixing nuanced shapes with innate simplicity to create clothing with an everyday sensibility.
