LIZZIE FORTUNATO

Lizzie Fortunato Jewels began in the spring of 2008, when Lizzie Fortunato launched the brand from her Lower East Side apartment. Initially designing jewelry during her undergraduate years at Duke, Lizzie built a small following, which gave her the confidence to pursue her passion. On their 24th birthday, Lizzie’s twin sister Kathryn left her a $10,000 bonus check from her job at Goldman Sachs, along with a note saying, “follow your dreams.” This was the only funding the brand ever received. By 2010, Kathryn joined the team full-time, and together they built a company that prioritizes their team, product integrity, and craftsmanship. Today, much of the collection is designed and assembled in NYC using globally sourced materials.
